( You've seen Tangled, right? Boat scene with the lanterns. Lets do this thing. )
Having just arrived in this world a few days prior, Sakura didn't know what to expect when Syaoran asked her to take a boat ride with him. Fai and Kurogane had opted out, though Fai did give her a strange, knowing smile that she couldn't quite interpret. She'd followed Syaoran out to the lake, where a tiny row-boat was waiting for them. It was small and modest, but the head was decorated with small flowers. And really, small and modest was all she needed.
They'd rowed out a little into the lake, and then stopped. Curious, Sakura tips her head in his direction. "Syaoran-kun?" Was something wrong? This couldn't possibly be their destination?

It's a secret. [ He didn't like keeping things for her, of course. But in this case... well, maybe exceptions could be made. So to avoid making himself too obvious or his normal truthful facade to fall through, Syaoran choose to keep his answers short and sweet.
He sits back a little in the boat once he finds a nice place in the middle of the lake to stop, being sure to catch Sakura's entire face for the main event. And oh boy is he smiling. Not just his usual dorky smile, but behind that lies a more flustered yet confident look. It wasn't often he could do something like this for her, but now that he was able Syaoran wanted to make everything just perfect. For such a special person... even if it was something as small as this- ]
It's almost time. So please, just wait for a moment longer, Sakura-hime.

So, Sakura sat back and waited.
... For about a few seconds, before curiosity got the best of her. She glanced hastily around them, trying to find the source of whatever it is they're supposed to be waiting for.
Nothing. But she wouldn't ask Syaoran about it, because he'd told her to wait, and she would. Just... she never promised she'd sit still while she was waiting. She stuck her head out of the boat and leaned out as far as she could without tipping over, trying to catch a glimpse into the lake for some clues.
Nothing.
Except, a small glimmer along the surface of the water catches her eye, and for a moment, Sakura can't figure out what it was. A fish, maybe? A kind that glowed? She leaned out further to try and get a better look as the small glimmer turned into many little shiny dots. Her eyes widen with wonder, but she's still busy staring into the lake rather than up into the air. ]

He wanted to tell her, oh how he wanted to, but he opted to keep quiet for her sake. Fai-san had suggested not to tell, and with a special even like this... well, perhaps it was better to see it with your own eyes then just by telling someone.
However, this moment was not only special for Sakura, but for himself as well. He had never seen an event quite like this before, and the excitement turning in his stomach allowed a soft chuckle to ease across his lips. It seemed like the princess was enjoying her time, and with the main event creeping closer, he too looking forward to sharing this moment...
... that was, if she wasn't going to fall out of the boat first. ]
Ah, Sakura-hime, wait-! [ Slightly panicked, the boy will reach a hand over to cup the female's shoulder. A shoulder now softly brushing up against her own.
Once the contact was made his hand lifts up towards the sky, gesturing towards the direction of the night sky. The lights... they were coming from there. And not just one... two, three, ten. More and more began to emerge from the skylines of the buildings and work their way towards the sky. Truly this was a beautiful sight. ]
There, look this way!

A small gasp, and then her face lights up with delight. She wants to say something to him, but she's at a complete loss for words as she stares up at the lanterns.
At some point, she'd grabbed onto his hand with both of her own, and she gripped onto them tightly as she continued to stare upward. She'd tried counting them all, but there are now so many -- and all different shapes and sizes, too! -- that she'd lost track a long time ago. All Sakura wants to do is be closer to them, and she scoots herself as close toward the edge of the boat as she can, still holding onto Syaoran's hand. ]

That didn't stop him from getting a peek at the show before them, though. He stares for a moment, completely in awe at what was shown around them. Fai was right, this really was the perfect spot. The way the lights flew through the air and reflected off the water... it was almost as if you could reach out your hand and touch it-... a touch.
Syaoran could feel the sensation of something warm on his hand, and his attention turned down with mild surprise. Her hand, it was Sakura's hand pressed tightly against his. Yes, he was familiar with this warmth, and had cherished its kind touch.
He would simply smile down at it for a moment, the flush across his cheeks increasing in the slightest. There were no words that could possibly be expressed right now, and so none were said. All they had to do was enjoy the sight. That, and and the squeeze Syaoran returned to her when his own hand tightened around hers. His fingers beginning to intertwine them together.
Everything was just perfect. The lights, the location, and even Sakura herself. He couldn't possibly ask for more. ]

"Gratitude" couldn't even begin to describe it.
Finally, as the number of lanterns raising into the sky begin to slowly dwindle, she lets out a deep breath that she hadn't even realized she'd been holding and turns her gaze onto Syaoran. ]
I've never seen anything like that! It was so... beautiful.
